NIKE R-C-K Potassium Ascorbate with D-Ribose:

In a living being the basic metaboilic process occurring at cellular level is bio-chimical and physical type. The correct cellular operation is controlled by four cations, i.e: sodium, calcium, potassium and magnesium, through the process of reversible bonds affecting oxide reduction reactions. In particular, potassium is considered the leading cation (co-factor) of intracellular metabolic process. A healthy sound body is characterized by the correct operation og its sodium-potassium pump. The ascorbic acid, which is a very strong anti-oxidant, acts as a conveyor of potassium thus keeping at or bringing back to correct values its intra-cellular concentration. In point of fact it is to be noted that a lack of balance in this cation is a clear information that the living being is put to risk of degenerative process and as a logic consequence the other cations will lose their balance. Ribose plays a very important role for the cellular metabolism and it is the fundamental forerunner both of RNA (ribonucleic acid) and of adenosine (the basic compound for ATP production). Taken by the mouth Ribose is metabolized without interfering in glycolysis.

Potassium ascorbate with ribose takes part in the rebalancing work of those mechanisms which are at the beginning of a degenerative process, acting as well to reinforce the immuno-response of the body to the attacks of "external agents". The presence of ribose increases the efficaciousness of this compound by virtue of its potential catalytic activity. Clearly understandable is the importance of a correct prevention based on the use of Potassium ascorbate with ribose, whose preventive efficaciousness might be investigated through a proper epidemiolbgic study. Due to the lack of side effects and toxcity (save in case of allergy to vitamin C) this compound may be taken as long as you want with no time limit.

Reaearch on Potassium ascorbate with Ribose is conducted by the Valsé Pantellini International Foundation together with the Department of Public Health at the University of Parma, with the Department of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Medicine at the Universitv of Siena and with the Department of Anatomy at the University of the Island of Malta. The results and achievements thus obtained have been presented at the international conference arranged by said Foundation at the Fundation headquarters in Oviedo, Spain, on April 2006. The non toxic and antioxidant characteristics of this compound have been highlighted by the work carried out in the years 2000-2001 together with the staff of Institute of Mutagenesis at the Pisa National Research Center. The said Foundation was invited in the month of June 2003 to present a scientific report on the compound to the University of Connecticut during the NPA Iniernational Conference.

What it is and How to take it

Potassium ascorbate with ribose is a salt obtained from ascorbic acid, easily soluble in water, which is combined with ascorbic L-acid (vitamin C). D-ribose and potassium bicarbonate in the purest cristallized form. The component parts, duly dosed, must be protected from humidity and light, due to the fact that they are hygroscopic and photosensitive (ascorbc acid in particular). Furthermore both ascorbic acid and ribose must be kept separate from potassium bicarbonate. The compound of potassium ascorbate with ribose is obtained dissolving the single components to 20cc of water. In order to avoid any possible form of oxidation, it is recommended not to use any metal utensil as spoons. In point of fact this compound may be taken as a preventive medicine every day in the morning on an empty stomach (10-15 minutes before breakfast) or 45 minutes before a regular meal, on an empty stomach as a rule.
